Media: C.J. scores a first for the Peoria Blogosphere
C.J. Summers has the scoop on the District 150 Watch Coalition’s meeting with Superintendent Ken Hinton. He’s done some remarkable work on all this.
In fact, it’s so remarkable that HOI News, in it’s own on-line version of the story, linked directly to C.J.’s most recent post.
I do believe this is a first for the Peoria Blogosphere. Media Websites have linked to Peoria blogs before, but only in relation to a story in which bloggers and blogging is the topic. But I do believe this is the very first time, in the course of regular reporting on an issue, that any Peoria media organization has linked to a specific post written by a Peoria blogger simply because the quality and availability of the information in the post.
This is a significant milestone for the media here in Peoria. It’s an acknowledgment of the work being done on blogs, specifically C.J.’s site, which is top notch.

Thanks for the link. I only hope the school board will take these proposals seriously and reverse their decision to shorten the school day.

This proposal demonstates clearly and convincingly that it is perfectly feasible to meet all of the Boards Educational and financial objectives and still maintain the integrity of the school day and its programs.
