Politics: Where’s Schock been hiding?
I am noticing a pattern.
Here’s the Journal Star article on the reaction to Sen. John McCain’s comment about how ethanol subsidies are contributing to high gas prices:
[18th District Congressional candidate Colleen] Callahan and her opponent, state Rep. Aaron Schock, R-Peoria, both support corn-based ethanol and other renewable alternative energy sources. Steve Shearer, Schock’s campaign manager, said he believes ethanol and bio-fuels are one vital component of increased energy independence.
Schock could not be reached for comment.
And this appeared in an article about how Callahan’s candidacy is starting to gain national attention:
“Are we worried or panicked? By no means at all,” Shearer said. “All of these negative attacks by the DCCC and Colleen Callahan’s campaign are the furthest thing from ‘change.’ In fact, these constant attacks are one of these things Americans want to change most about our political system.”
Schock could not be reached for comment.
So where’s Schock been that he cannot be reached? What’s he doing that he doesn’t have time to pick up the phone and return a phone call from the reporter who coveres politics for the largest newspaper in the 18th District?

Don’t know his whereabouts, but I sure hope that Ms. Callahan is getting lots of attention in the district!
