Blogging: Yea! More time to blog!
Yeah, I’m trying to look at the bright side. Via 1470WMBD:
A call center on Peoria’s northside that employs about 20 people will soon be closing it’s doors. Maximus Multimedia informed it’s employees in Peoria earlier this week that the company plans to outsource the call center to a company based in North Carolina. The center will be closed effective August 1st when the calls begin being routed through North Carolina.
Company spokeswoman Susan Andrews tells 1470 WMBD the move will affect less than 25 employees. She would not say if the company is offering the affected employees any assistance, saying Maximus Multimedia does not discuss employee benefits.
Yeah, I’m one of these people. Also, the company now known as Pathware (which split off from SVI many months ago, but operates out of the same building) closed down the day me and my co-workers found out. At least I think so. I’m not in the loop for all these decisions.
So, I am officially looking for work. I have a job until the end of July, then about three months of unemployment benefits. The resume is updated, and any job search tips will be appreciated.

Did it ever occur to you that it could be a conspiracy?

So, Bill, can you tell us if Maximus is offering assistance?

Angela: I haven’t asked for any yet.
Diane: It’s all a conspiracy. The complete lack of any evidence is only proof of how widespread the conspiracy is.
