Came free from Insight and when it stopped working I took it to Comcast and they gave me a new one free.
I have since left comcast because of the “throttling” policy they were putting in place.
If they won’t give you one you can have free and forever the replacement one they gave me. You will have to tell them the “new” mac address so you can connect.
Comcast gives nothing away free. They charge for their modems depending on how you want to pay for it. $3 a month charge or they divide it into 3 payments if you want to purchase it outright.
