Local: ‘Holy job openings, Batman!’
If you can draw superheroes, this Peoria-based outfit just might have use for your skills:
Pilot Comics intends to launch with a single title sometime near the end of the year, 2008. The first title will be a compilation of three full length stories and two or more short stories. This will be our testing ground for new characters and ideas. We are calling this comic simply Pilot Comix. Our comics will be produced locally and made from newsprint as they used to be. We will have more advertising to help offset the price of our product and bring its’ price down to the lowest in 30 years. We look forward to sharing some amazing adventures together with you and look forward to hearing from you soon.
The guy who’s running this effort works with my Dad.
It sorta reminds me of the comics my buddy Bill Borwick and I used to make when we were kids.

the comic biz does seem to be booming these days

That site needs to be closed down until they’ve hired some creative people to help. And using screen shots from the game City of Villains for the characters profiles is just hurting their cause. I hate being harsh but that site just doesn’t cut it for comic book publisher.
