If we are scrutinizing campaign contributions, you should add the check from Congressman Jerry Lewis, a frequent member of the “20 most corrupt” list whose investigation was halted after the U.S. Attorney was summarily fired by the Bush Administration. Who did this Abramoff protege’ write big bucks to? His former employee, Darin Lahood. Thank goodness we never have any corruption here because Mr. Lahood wouldn’t know how to spell it, let alone prosecute it. If we are giving back money, then Darin should give back his from Congressman Lewis.
