There were long lines in the inner city Peoria precincts without enough voting machines, election judges were asking voters to produce a photo id, illegal at the polls in Illinois, as well as the notorious postcards mentioned in the PJStar story. (How did whoever sent that postcard get those addresses?) This is the election that sent Aaron Schock to the Illinois House by a tiny number of votes. Without that voter suppression he might have lost to the Democratic incumbent. This type of voter suppression has also occurred in many other places in the US., always connected with the GOP. It's good to the see the PJStar covering these issues now, before the next election, instead of wringing its hands afterwards. Voters be warned!
