I have seen the entire Callahan family at every State Fair for the past ten years. They are definitely not banned, in any way.

Her husband is not now, nor has he ever been banned from the State Fair. I hope someone DOES actually call the State Fair Board. That’s hilarious. He’s actually a highly respected Judge himself and has never punched another judge, fair official, or FARM HAND for that matter.

Is anyone disputing the fact the Callahan Family got caught cheating at the State Fair? Is it relavent to this campaign? I would say no except for all the crap that has been thrown at the Aaron Schock campaign.

Aaron has a legislative track record he is running on. If you differ with him on public policy issues so be it. I for one will be proud to have him as our representative in Congress from the 18th Congressional district , as I think he will best represent my values and positions on important issues. I think many other people feel similarly. His past electoral success affirms that belief.

I am a Republican, and I am not going to apologize for that. I am just as disappointed, if not more so than most, by the Republican leadership in Illinois and nationally. I think Aaron offers new hope and direction to the Republican Party in Illinois and potentially nationwide.

I believe in the guy. We can disagree on that, but I stand on my beliefs and I stand with Aaron.

One party rule in Illinois has been a disaster. Lets don’t take it national.

“Only a few years ago, she and her husband won first prize at the State Fair for a show hog. It was later verified by the State Fair Board and the chief veterinarian that they biologically cheated. (Left half a testicle up in the hog for the testosterone to help muscle tone). Her husband punched a fair official who called them on it and he is banned from the State Fair. (Not the only time her husband beat up a farm hand).”

Ha ha ha! I want to party with that guy! That whole scene sounds like something out of a Christopher Guest movie.

Sorry no apology here gfalkes, my point was that if it was as cut and dry as you seem to think, we would have already heard from either Lyons or Schock’s attorneys. Since neither has made an announcement with respect to what you cited then I doubt it is as cut and dry.

Let’s see if the Journal Star and local TV is fair and investigates Callahan’s cheating at the state fair. Lot’s of farmers who know her and her husband believe there is a lot of shady dealings they have been involved in. That’s why many won’t buy livestock from them.
