Media: In case you missed
One of the best things about being a reporter is that you occasionally get to interview real heroes.
I once interviewed a mom who calmly entered a neighbor’s burning home and extracted a couple of scared children.
Granted, it wasn’t a big fire, and the firefighters would no doubt have shown up in time anyway. But to walk into a house that’s obviously burning … brave stuff. She was all “aww, shucks, twern’t nothin” about the whole thing. Which is pretty much what most heroes do.
And then we have this guy:

This wasn’t some ordinary citizen who stepped up. After all, he was only doing his job. Indeed, it’s almost as if his entire life was designed to prepare him to be on THIS plane on THAT day. The value of preparation and training cannot be overemphasized.
Nevertheless, this guy just have been born with brass balls the size of friggin’ grapefruit.
I’m glad to see New Yorkers making such a fuss over Sully and the crew.
