Peoria’s fourth murder hits close to former home
I used to live two doors down from Gas USA at the corner of East McClure and North Prospect. I visited the place almost every day to buy soda and gasoline. It’s a family owned joint, I haven’t been there in years and I’m not even sure if it’s owned by the same people. But the victim might very well be someone I said hello to every day for the close to a year I lived there.
Why did they shoot the attendant? Did the attendant put up a fight? During the middle of the day, the attendant might very well have been the owner, perhaps reluctant to see some good-for-nothing piece of crap walk away with his hard earned money.
