Something worked in Peoria
I recall the hand-wringing over the summer of violence, when there were multiple incidents of young people fighting and brawling at carnivals.
As John Sharp points out on his j-blog, the “Do Right” program came along and in 2009, there weren’t any incidents.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say the program worked.
Of course, everyone with a vested interest in running down Peoria –developers in north Peoria and the other side of the river — will continue to do so.
