Thanks to the two generous donations I’ve received in the last several days, hosting payments for the Blog Peoria Project are taken care of for the next four months.

And if you haven’t visited the Blog Peoria Project homepage, you might want to check out the changes.

Jeffrey Katzenberg of Dreamworks is spending $10 million for one 90-second ad during the upcoming Super Bowl to promote the new 3-D animated “Monsters v. Aliens.”

One 125-by-125 pixel ad on Peoria Pundit sells for a whopping $60.

For an entire month.

I’m just saying.

In lieu of that, I take donations. See PayPal tip jar to the right.

Local: And now for the bad news …

I had hoped to get a paycheck before Comcast lowered the boom, the aforementioned boom has been lowered. I owe them $140 and change to get my cable Internet service restored.

So this is a bleg for donations (PayPal button in the right sidebar). I would prefer to sell ad space to cover these costs, but I’ve come up empty so far this month calling up prospective clients.

I would like to thank the neighbor with the unsecured wireless network I’m using out in my car.

Future revenue that would go to the ISP bill will instead go toward getting the virtual private server I’ve been considering.

Your help is appreciated.

I had a job interview this morning and was hired on the spot. I start Thursday morning, pending the results of a drug test. Unless someone been spiking my McRib sandwiches with poppy seeds, I’ll pass.

I’m not naming the place due to my longstanding policy of NOT blogging about work.

But I am happy with the job. I’ll miss staying in bed until noon, though.

And don’t let this happy news dissuade anyone so inclined from hitting that PayPal donation button. Daddy needs some bandwidth.
