(Press release)

Due to heating and air conditioning work that needs to be completed in the City Clerk’s Office in Room 401 of City Hall, City Clerk Mary Haynes and her staff will be moving into Room 402 of City Hall. The move is planned for Thursday, October 30, 2008. Due to the need for preparing to move and then the actual move, the completion of the minutes for the October 28th Council Meeting will be delayed. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Requests for research may also delayed while we are located in Room 402 due to limited access to our main vault in Room 401. We will do our best to respond to each request as quickly as possible. We do not know exactly how long this relocation will last, but we have been told to expect anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months.

Our phone numbers, fax numbers, and e-mail addresses will remain the same. While the move is actually occurring on Thursday, if you are unable to reach someone in the Clerk’s Office, please contact the City Manager’s Office at 494-8555 or the Legal Department at 494-8590 and ask that someone bring a message to us, and we will return your call asap.

We hope to be ready for business on Friday morning at 8:00. Signs will be posted on the Fourth Floor of City Hall to avoid as much confusion as possible.

Beth A. Ball
Chief Deputy City Clerk
City Clerk’s Office
